Japan Sommelier Association familiarization to Greece starts back in 1994 when Publisher Suzuki Toshiyasu, introduced Fotios Tziolis to its President Takashi Atsuta. Continuous efforts to introduce Greek wine varieties as well as Greek wine terminology in to the Japanese Sommelier Bible book as well as in the examination for new Sommelier  starts taking place in 1998. This year Greece had a special .... in the Bible book and a special issue was issued covering the Greek Wine Renaissance seminar as well as making special comments on the International Sommelier competition in Greece 6-13 Oct. 2004.
